How to Reduce Food Waste

Around one third of the food produced worldwide gets spoiled or squandered every year.
Compacted in a landfill and cut off of oxygen, decomposing food emits methane, a greenhouse gas that's about 30 times more potent than carbon dioxide.
Food waste accounts for roughly 8% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. To put that into perspective, the aviation industry is responsible for approximately 2.5% of carbon dioxide emissions.
